Biometric Inspiration Information vol.2

Artist: Debt Rag
Album: It Is Clear What’s Going On
Release Date: 6.26.2026
Where this band’s unbridled vision into the next reality really shines is in the transitions.
All the hooks and classic punk art rage-bating is hella sick. Totally bonafide. Fucking perfectly executed too. Keyboard catastrophe. Kick-ass drumming. Bass licks fer dayz. Honky NOU trumpet fanfare to the scary, scary campfire protest shouts of their forgotten ancestry.com search history.
This recording rules and expertly captures their “Power and Control, Wind-up to Collapse” energetic manifesto.
If one is vibing hard with that part of the record (as one does), get ready for that x10 in your mf face when you seem ‘em live, buddy.
Watching the in-between ‘hits’ panto-mind-meld channeled by these three greats on stage is seeing a rare and beautiful thing indeed.
Most people work their entire lives hoping to glimpse it once or twice.
These fuckers live there 24/7.
Getting right with yourself and the Universe is as easy as paying $10-$15 sliding scale notaflof.

Artist: Foodman
Album: Hikarigasashikomu
Release Date: 7.24.2026
As AI works to harness every nook and cranny of human experience for the great ‘devolution’, there is comfort to be had in remembering the old saying “funk is the space between the notes”.
To put it another way – for those nerds who never questioned sensuality as a means of forging a deeper connection with ourselves (and the world), this one’s for us.
The sound/sample palate alone on this (or any Foodman) album is staggering. As the crystal clear sonic layering dissolves fore and backgrounds into psychic tankers, loaded with mysterious vapor. Gigantic, cute, imposing and weightless behemoths sway on vibrations started by the ancient practitioners of any ass-shaking craft. More a feeling than a thing, and certainly a practice that cannot be unlearned.
Dude clearly loves to eat, and from the sounds of it knows exactly how to savor.
But the funkiest part of this record is the high speed toggling between upper register frequencies.
Not exactly ‘booty music’ in the 20th century sense of the word, but most definitely ‘boom-boom bop’ from the future. One that saw AI coming 100+ years ago and thought, “Let’s teach these robot Neanderthals how to fuck”.
Do not miss any opportunity to see Foodman live, where he builds layers of ‘perfectly recorded’ texture into a whole other thing that is truly hypnotic, succulent and beyond beautiful.
He really seems to like Portland for some reason – playing there twice in 2026.
Lucky us.

Artist: Takkak Takkak
Album: Abu
Release Date: 6.19.2026
If a circle has infinite sides, this album is a fucking sphere.
Where to even start?
Please just dive straight in without hesitation and continue floating, forever.
Mo’ong & Scotch Rolex deserve goddamn Medals of Honor, with highest marks bestowed upon them for extreme valor in the face of sonic redundancy and decrepitude.
Additionally, Nyege Nyege Tapes has been absolutely dominating, with practically every release more mind-bending than the last. Maintaining such incredible taste and consistency alone is one for the ages. ALL HATS ARE OFF!
Way too much art justifies itself by ‘emulating the classics’ in a gas-lighted blatant content grab, manifest cyber-destinatory, flat ass snooze-fest.
Then there’s whateverthehell this shit is.
And by ‘this shit’ is meant THE SHIT.
Please continue believing the earth is flat and dinosaurs lived a few thousand years ago, so the rest of us can keep on keeping on to the sound of true LUV and perpetual innovation.
Do they even play live?
No idea.
But if so, probably somewhere in Europe or PDX.

Artist: Plastic Bag
Album: Plastic Bag
Release Date: 1.9.2026
What’s the point of attempting to make someone feel bad about their hard work?
It’s an obvious ploy at manipulation and social control/engineering.
That said, hard work does not ensure quality.
Plastic Bag is a hilarious title for something so beautiful and well designed.
For those unfamiliar with the work of Container, please do two things.
- Immediately begin collecting and cherishing ALL the works of Container (and DEFINITELY see them live when possible).
- Take note that Plastic Bag is made by the same person who makes Container.
This album seems to expand the ‘weirder’ interludes Container uses between tracks during their live set, showcasing what’s clearly become its own lexicon.
Tain’t techno, tain’t harsh noise, just pure abstracted texture of the highest caliber with the funk running so deep underground there’s only one (lesser known) Chunnel line to take you there.
Here’s the invaluable opportunity to observe a bonafide Bad-Ass push sound deeper and deeper into abstraction until it comes out the other side. Not an easy task, nor an easy journey. This one’s as modest as it is essential, with 100% quality guaranteed.
To avoid a royal fuck-up, catch them live – traveling the world on their own dime.

Artist: Tyondai Braxton
Album: Splayed Werks
Release Date: 8.21.2026
Scientifically speaking we humans – allegedly – know more about the interior of a star than we do about the interior of an atom.
And from what we’re told, both scientifically and metaphysically, we’re all made of stardust.
As Sun Ra put it, “I am not of this planet.”
While the intentionally cruel and heartless use of scientific knowledge to systemically manipulate, torture and oppress too many of us for too many generations continues at maximum strength, one’s suspicion at any conversation around healing that begins with ‘science’ is more than understandable.
The magnitude of this album’s reach becomes clearest in the sense of peace one has (typically for days) after listening. It so exceptionally puts the ‘civil’ in civilization. Composed, extracted, invoked, crafted, summoned, channeled, discovered, transmuted – here no approach has gone unexplored.
This one comes out swinging like it’s gonna be all “high concept” funk, then gets right to work on the body with the inter-dimensional stank face, deep neck-bob combo. And it’s as beautiful as they come.
Where one could also be forgiven is by (accidentally) underestimating how INCREDIBLY POWERFUL this music is when performed live.
Played in almost complete darkness with just TB’s beautiful face lit by ambient modular glow as a visual guide, the experience is celestial to say the least.
He’s currently touring and is better than any symphony on earth.
